Red Rock Canyon Anniversary Session
I couldn’t have been more excited when Jenn told me they were booking flights to come out to Vegas for their one year anniversary session! One of my favorite couples in one of my favorite cities – I knew it was going to be amazing!
So let’s rewind a bit… about a year to be exact. I joined this photography duo for their wedding in Jacksonville. Now, gracing both the cover and inside of The Celebration Society weddings magazine, we knew we had to make their first anniversary shoot something special. So going from the beachy vibes in Florida, to the desert sunsets of Nevada seemed like the perfect transition!
Planning the shoot
Since I was planning to be in Las Vegas for our annual photography convention, WPPI, I encouraged Jenn and come out and celebrate their anniversary there! Vegas has always held a special place in their hearts – it’s where they were the first time David told her he loved her!
We decided to venture off to Red Rock Canyon. Luckily with an uber driver who willingly drove us around the entire park pulling off as we found our perfect spots! It took a little time, and the sun was not our friend initially, but we finally found our sweet spot and we’re all still obsessing over the outcome! Gabby and Makayla joined us to do a little video, too (check it out at the end of the post)!
After our adventure to the desert we decided to end the day by grabbing milkshakes at Holstein’s with Jenn and David. We look forward to WPPI every year, but this shoot was definitely the icing on the cake!
