Silk & Sabal
We recently collaborated with Rae from Taylor Rae Events to help bring her vision for their sister brand; Silk & Sabal, to life. Silk & Sabal offers full-service luxury event planning and design worldwide. Working with Silk & Sabal gives clients the opportunity to work one-on-one with owner and lead planner, Rae Grijalva. She prides herself on taking the time to connect with her clients and understand what it is that will make this experience unique to them.
Collaborating with Rae on this shoot was a great experience, and really showed what it would be like if we had her as a planner. From the start Rae knew that she loved the light and airy look and wanted to do multiple different looks. She made mood boards and asked for our opinions throughout the whole process. It was great bouncing ideas off of each other. We loved watching Rae’s vision come to life from start to finish.
Authentic & Timeless
All of the gowns and jewelry were provided by The Bridal Finery, using multiple different designers. While the suits were all custom made from Leonardo on 5th Avenue. Laesha was the model for our first look. We wanted this look to be bit more structured and almost angelic. Rae loved the idea of incorporating stairs and multiple gowns into this look. For look two we went with a nice and crisp look with real life couple Daniel and Miguel. We really wanted to keep this one simple so we went with the white wall as the background, to really make the black suits stand out. There was even some champagne incorporated.
For the third look we were able to use our very own, Gabby. We kept it very simple for her look and more used this opportunity to shoot some of the Bridal Finery’s new jewelry, exclusively sold by them and created for them by Maria Elena. The fourth look included, Jennifer and her fiancรฉ Bo. We were going for a ethereal feel for this look starting with a gown with flowy sleeves and ending with a more simplistic gown with a detailed bottom.
The whole shoot was authentic and timeless, and you can view the final images on Silk & Sabal, which officially launched on August 18th.
