In Home Engagement Session
I’m not even sure where to start with this girl. My little Jenn. Shooting this home engagement session was the icing on my 2017 cake!
I met Jenn back in 2012 – and I honestly can’t remember why. I’m sure it was probably something industry related – but that led to us becoming friends on Facebook and randomly chatting about photography. We got to spend actual time getting to know each other when she drove down to Orlando to attend my first Watermark Workshop with her friend, Sarah! It was really fun talking to both of them about business, and we started to form a great friendship.
Fast forward to a “vaguebook” post by Jenn (sort of implying her and David had eloped in Vegas) and – of course – I responded with a bunch of bride and engagement ring emojis! So spoiler alert, they hadn’t actually eloped but we decided that when the time came, I would totally be on board!
So when Jenn and David got engaged (or maybe before, but who’s keeping track ;)) I got an excited message that I needed to be there with them and I was 100% in!
She’s the first bride to invite me wedding dress shopping (like, actually my first time ever going wedding dress shopping with anyone!). And then I finally got to meet David at our styled shoot in the summer!
So now here we are – ONE MONTH away from their wedding on her grandad’s property in Jacksonville. Lacey and I drove to Jacksonville in December to spend some time with them for their engagement session. We started at this amazing hidden property near her home, and finished up with some sweet photos in their house so she include her “daughter”, Bella. If you know Jenn, you know how important Bella is to her…
quite possibly only rivaling David for her attention.
I am beyond honored to be joining them for their wedding. They are amazing people individually, but even more amazing when they’re together. Seriously complimenting each other in every way – he’s the calm to her storm!
