It’s been a little bit of time since I’ve gotten to head to Miami for a Vizcaya engagement session! Really, anything at Vizcaya is a favorite to photograph, since the grounds of this beautiful estate are so gorgeous! When Amanda and Andrew mentioned meeting there for their session, I was immediately excited!
Amanda and Andrew are getting married at Bella Collina in Orlando in November 2023. But they wanted to meet up in Miami for their engagement session.
We started with a sunrise time to try to avoid as much of the heat and potential rain that we could. Summers in Florida are not very friendly for sunset sessions – we get a lot of rain-outs. So although it was pretty humid, there was a great breeze off the water and we managed to get a full hour in!
Then, we joined Amanda’s mom and grandma for brunch right off Brickell before heading to their favorite brewery with their 2 pups for the second part of our session!
Jardines la tropical is in the Wynwood district in Miami and is a gorgeous homage to the original brewery, built in Cuba in 1888. They’re pet friendly and their secret gardens were the best spot for a little beer, a little laughter and a lot of photos!
