It’s been awhile since I’ve posted an engagement session and I’ve been feeling really badly about that lately! I love my engagement sessions and I adore these couples, but my wedding workflow has kept me busy lately and I’ve been neglecting these awesome two-somes that make my life so special :)
This session was especially perfect for me. I think it’s been a good while since I’ve felt so creatively satisfied and I definitely can thank Christina and Steve for that! They’re from Pittsburgh and having a destination wedding in Florida. But I shoot in Florida ALL the time, so on a recent trip home, I planned this stunning session at Mill Creek Park in Youngstown, Ohio (my hometown!
). I haven’t been here since I was a kid, but the rock playground has a special meaning to me – my dad used to take me there all the time when I was a kid.
Now it’s covered in overgrown moss, spider webs and graffiti, but it still has the nostalgia I needed :)
Christina described herself as a mix of bohemian free spirit and Zara, so I knew this would be the perfect fit. I couldn’t adore this shoot any more, so I hope you love it as much as I do!
Side note: He totally posed himself.
