Cosplay princess and Instagram starlet, Anna Faith, is engaged! I joined her boyfriend, Matthew, for the surprise proposal on Sunday at the Gaylord Palms in Orlando, FL.
We had been secretly planning his proposal for months – starting with an email from her mom called “Pool Parts” (cleverly disguised in case Anna used her laptop)! We carefully scheduled everything around a faux “photo shoot” for my website with Anna and her younger sister Lexie, better known to some as The Frost Sisters. I asked if she had any guys they could shoot with, and right on cue she eagerly offered up Matthew and his twin brother, Michael.
Anna spent the afternoon prepping for our shoot. She picked out a dress in her signature Ice Blue color and Matthew wore a tie to match. We spent about 45 minutes walking around various locations throughout the hotel, and at one point, Anna said I would have to be her wedding photographer – completely unprompted. I laughed and looked at Matthew who thought, for sure, she had figured it out! But luckily she was completely unaware of our plan. Whew!
We started walking to our final spot – THE spot. I did a quick instagram story as we walked, and Matthew was right beside me. Anna, who was about 10 steps ahead, was out of earshot. So I asked, “How are you feeling?” – and he laughed and said “I’m nervous as hell!”
It’s Go Time!
After setting Lexie and Michael up in the perfect spot, our video team from Lemus Cinema got in position and we were ready to go! After a few “fake” shots of Lexie, we moved Anna and Matthew in to position. I set them up for a pose or 2, before stepping back and letting Matthew take over.
Anna was completely shocked. You could see the emotion on her face as she went from sobbing to squealing to laughing!
The best part? Matthew gets on one knee and pulls out her ring – which he then dropped. Their faces were priceless, and I’m so glad I captured that moment!
Anna said yes (of course!) and then both of their family and friends threw rose petals over the top of the atrium! They all came down for hugs (and to see the ring!) before having a celebratory party upstairs.
Thank you SO much to Matthew, Michael, Lexie and Anna’s parents for having me along (especially Lexie and Michael, who had to play along with the shoot for an hour!)
