Pymatuning Yacht Club in PA

I haven’t been entirely sure how to start this blog post. In many ways, it was the beginning of a crazy journey for me. Brittany and Ryan contacted me a little while before their wedding at Pymatuning Yacht Club in Pennsylvania. Ryan and I had actually went to high school together in NE Ohio (although we were a year apart and I didn’t actually know him back then). He found me again on Facebook while looking for a wedding photographer shortly after his engagement to Brittany. At the time, I had thought it would be a perfect fit for my associate package and we got everything scheduled. But things have a weird way of working out sometimes.
I ended up traveling up to Ohio to photograph their wedding, along with my newest hire – Gabe.
If you follow me on social media, you’re likely to see his name mentioned once or twice – but I took him on in the spring and this was his first “official” wedding as a second shooter. I couldn’t have asked for better clients during this crazy time in my life. Brittany and Ryan were laid back, excited and so fun to work with! Their wedding was on the lake, under a tent with 140 of their closest friends and family. Design was simple and understated – allowing the focus to be on them and the beautiful scenery.
They went with shades of mint and dusty blue, and they both wore Sperry boat-shoes, which completely went with their sailing lifestyle!
In the end, I was so glad to be there with them. It was the perfect day, truly. Gabe and I sat fireside the next evening at my home in Boardman talking about how much we loved them and their families, how great everything was, and how much fun it was to photograph their wedding. We came back to Florida with full cameras and happy hearts.
