It is such an honor to share the wedding of our very own associate, Gabby, at Big Spring Farm in Lexington Virginia! Sharing a vendor house with some of my best friends and their spouses was truly one of the highlights of my wedding careers – even if it might have been haunted and had a cemetery in the front yard! I *did* cry when Gabby walked down the aisle (which KEJ graciously filmed for me) and got to relax and be a guest during the reception! I’m super grateful to my team and fellow vendors for being such a big part of this entire experience!
XOXO,
Kristen
Effortlessly Elegant
After three years of a sweet and steady romance, Gabby and Trey finally celebrated their love among family and friends in the beautiful mountains of Virginia at Big Spring Farm. With her background as both a model and photographer, Gabby truly deserved a day as stunning and special as she is. Trey, an accomplished engineer, wanted nothing more than to celebrate their partnership. Loved ones gathered close to share in their joy, including a heartfelt appearance by Gabby’s grandparents. The scenery was perfect, the lighting incredible. Every detail was a piece of magic, from the white poppies in Gabby’s bouquet to the wildflowers in the meadows. The day turned into a moody, candlelit night, where guests celebrated under the stars and market lights of beautiful Big Springs Farm.

The Details
With muted tones and details in gold, evergreen trees all around, and the bridesmaids in floral prints, it was truly a wonderful event. Gabby’s fashion-forward dress from the One & Only Bridal was absolutely stunning. Big Springs Farm, famous for its 500 acres of mountain views, historic waterfront barn, and closeness to downtown Lexington, was a dream. The floral arrangements by Gossamer Floral Design could not have been more amazing.
Love blossoms here
Trey, an accomplished engineer, first met Gabby through her mom’s volleyball league. Despite the hour-long drive to the court, he never missed a game, eager to see more of Gabby.
Using his charm and engineering smarts, Trey texted Gabby for directions as a way to get her number. Thinking he was directionally challenged, she happily sent him detailed instructions and even a hand-drawn map. Little did she know, this small interaction would be the start of something much bigger.

Seeing the spark between them, Gabby’s high school friend Sheri played matchmaker by “skipping” out on their gym sessions. This gave Gabby and Trey more time to connect, and they began bonding over Dunkin’ Donuts—sharing laughs, stories about their heritage, their dreams, and discovering just how much they had in common. It didn’t take long for their friendship to blossom into something deeper.

It was only three years later that Trey and Sheri planned the perfect beach proposal. She was completely surprised when he got down on one knee- unable to respond for a few moments before coming to her senses and saying yes. Now, they look forward to a honeymoon in Italy, dream of beach days and enjoying every moment together. As Gabby says, “No personal time allowed!”

Flat Lays
A labor of love, Kristen and Gabby actually worked tirelessly in the months leading up to her wedding to coordinate the perfect flat lays with her stationery, details and bits of family heirloom pieces. Each piece was chosen and planned along with Paige from Two Peas Design to make her invitations the perfect way to set the tone for guests. Vintage photographs of her family added to the design, including some from her grandparents own wedding! Fresh picked dandelions were included to bring a bit of the venue to the design. For the men’s details, a deck of cards with their wedding date turned up (a quiet nod to their love of playing games) and a VA coaster made the perfect addition to Trey’s sunglasses!

Big Spring Farm in Lexington Virginia
They love the mountains and wanted a destination wedding somewhere they felt “at home”. When they stumbled on this gorgeous venue tucked deep in Virginia, they instantly fell in love. The quiet, peaceful preserve had everything they were hoping for and guests could enjoy the scenic, quiet ambiance of their venue. Late April gave us some gorgeous weather, too!
