Okay, is there anything cuter than an ice cream pregnancy announcement? Jess and Jonny are expecting baby number two, and they wanted to share the news in the sweetest way possible. So Gabby from our team met them at Dairy Joy in Tampa for a scoop of fun. Honestly, I smiled through every single photo!
Why Dairy Joy was perfect for an ice cream pregnancy announcement
If you haven’t been to Dairy Joy, it’s been a South Tampa favorite since 1958. Picture a pink and white striped awning, a black and white checkered walkway and a teal neon sign. Out back, there are vintage mint and yellow cars on the lawn, plus string lights and palm trees everywhere. It’s basically made for photos!
Their little girl totally ran the show. First, she proudly held up the ultrasound photos with a blue ice cream in her other hand. Then she shared pink and blue scoops with Mom and ended up with the cutest ice cream mustache. She also rode around on Dad’s shoulders and giggled through a few upside-down flips by the Drive-In Theater sign. Big sister life is going to suit her just fine.
As the sun went down, the string lights started to glow. Meanwhile, Jess cradled her bump in a white eyelet top, and Jonny couldn’t stop smiling. Finally, we wrapped up their ice cream pregnancy announcement under the Dairy Joy sign with the ultrasound photos raised high.
Watching this family grow
Jess and Jonny are past clients, so this one felt like catching up with old friends. That’s honestly my favorite part of this job. We get to see our families grow, one sweet chapter at a time. And a huge thank you to Gabby for capturing it all so beautifully!
