Earlier this summer I got to travel to Washington DC for the very first time! Brittany and Bobby are getting married at the new Swan Reserve in Orlando, FL but felt like their engagement session should be in their hometown of the historic Washington DC. I was so excited, not only because I have never been DC but I also got to meet the cutest fluff ball, Bailey – aka their golden retriever.
After taking a stroll to McDonald’s I found a local park and decided to enjoy the beautiful weather before getting ready for the shoot. I probably took over ten thousand steps walking up and down roads scoping out cute spots to shoot and yes my calves were very sore the next day! There were so many adorable houses so I thought it would be the perfect spot to start before we head down to the canal.
After our session Brittany and Bobby took me to a local taco restaurant where we chatted about their wedding plans and life (I know, so deep). But, I learned that Bobby is an architect in DC and his company actually designed the venue they are getting married in! How cool? I can’t wait to celebrate their big day but until then check out this video I made for their time at my DC engagement session!
