As much as I feel like I’ve known Stephanie and Ajay forever, I only got to first meet them at their tropical, destination wedding at Paradise Cove! Their wedding was an eclectic blend of culture and style – incorporating the resort feel of their Florida destination and the culture and colors of Ajay’s Indian culture. Bold hues of purple, orange and pink were accented with the most amazing floral design – utilizing Gerbera daisies, Lilies and Birds of Paradise.
Stephanie met Ajay back in 2008 when she moved to Los Angeles for work! After meeting and dating a bit, Stephanie headed back to her home in North Carolina and they did the whole long distance thing for a bit. Luckily, they stuck it out and Stephanie traveled back to LA frequently to visit Ajay! Fast forward a few years, and Ajay actually proposed to Stephanie at Disneyland, while she was updating her Facebook status (true story, seriously). I didn’t get to ask if they hit up Disney World on their wedding trip this time around, but I have a feeling it might have happened ;)
Since Ajay and Stephanie love movies, they also incorporated some of their favorites throughout the day! Their table “names” were favorite movie titles with “favorite quotes” from each one! And Stephanie walked down the aisle to the main song from Inception, “Time”. She described it as being “epic”, and I absolutely adore that!
So enjoy the Asavale’s Asian-Indian-Movie-infused tropical-destination wedding! Whew!
