Lakewood Ranch Wedding

When I first started chatting with Jessica about her March wedding, I knew we had a lot of expectations to live up to!ย I love a bride who knows exactly what she wants – and Jessica totally fit that bill! Not to mention, we’re birthday buddies – which made working with her even more fun. Especially since it was the day after our birthday! It was my first time shooting at Lakewood Ranch and Country Club in Bradenton (which is close to Sarasota, FL), and I loved everything about it!
Wedding Day
The entry has a beautiful grand staircase and the bridal suite had this super cute door that opened over up over the foyer. Their outdoor ceremony was perfect – beautiful weather and a cool breeze! We chose an ivy-covered golf-cart bridge to shoot their formals and then we all partied upstairs in their ballroom! Jessica and Josh chose a lot of great details for their wedding! Their main colors were gold and blush, and they accented them with Kate Spade clutches and white roses. Every detail was chosen by the couple – down to the gold cake topper “G” and the “Best Day Ever” napkins! Their cake had hand-crafted white sugar flowers with gold trim and their centerpieces were gold with white hydrangea and blush garden roses!
Although the entire day was special, one of the sweetest moments for us to capture was Jessica’s relationship with her mom. Her father recently passed away, and so her mom walked her down the aisle to meet Josh. As if that didn’t cue enough tears – she shared her father/daughter dance with her mom – and there wasn’t a dry eye in the room!
I’m so excited to share this day with everyone, and can’t wait to see all the amazing things that will come for Jessica and Josh!
