Historic old-Florida charm at the Howey Mansion
Just outside of Central Florida, in a little place called Howey-in-the-Hills, you can find the Howey Mansion. This historic 1925 mansion sits on over 15 acres of breathtaking grounds, lush gardens and of course, palm trees. From the spiraling staircase to the extravagant chandeliers, the mansion is embodied with vintage charm and classic romance. The mansion used to be known for its lavish parties with guests ranging from U.S. Presidents to the stars of Hollywood – so what better way to celebrate your big day then to party where the famous people once did.
Why we love Howey Mansion
We love history; we can’t get enough of it, so you bet we were so excited to hear about the restoration at The Howey Mansion. We love all the spaces at the Howey Mansion; the beautiful backyard that gives you that garden feel, the terrace embracing the beauty of the mansion, and lastly the ballroom giving off that vintage essence. But out of all the spaces, our favorite by far is the prohibition basement. As you walk down the stairs, this little gem transports you from 2019 back to the 1920s when prohibition was still in effect.
