Being friends since they were 8 years old and growing up in the same neighborhood gave this couple a friendship that would last a lifetime. As they got older they realized that they were meant to be together. So that is exactly what they did, even through an extended period of having to do long distance. They wouldn’t let that stop them. While on a family trip to the Florida Keys, Connor and Caroline took a walk out on the dock during sunset where Connor got down on one knee and proposed! As Caroline would say, “It was ‘MAGICAL’!” As a couple they love being outdoors, so an outdoor wedding at Arundel Estate was the perfect spot for them.

And then… Coronavirus! I really hesitate even attaching that word to their wedding, but we really wanted to share a positive, beautiful story of a wedding in the midst of all the turmoil right now. Although they had to greatly downsize their day – all their vendors came together to make their day special and unique! And truly – I love a couple that is dealt with a really stressful situation and still manages to have a sense of humor about it. During their ceremony, Rev. Glynn even had them share a hand-sanitizing moment!

After an intimate ceremony in front of a giant oak tree, the couple and their closest family and friends made their way to the outdoor reception space to pop some champagne and share the bride and groom’s first dance. The first dance song that Caroline and Connor chose carried so much meaning for them; they chose “Come to Me” by the Mulligan Brothers. While they were long distance, every time that they were on their way to see each other they would listen to this song.

Now Caroline and Connor can’t wait to spend the rest of their lives together with their “child” Patton, their goofy Plott Hound pup.
