Time for something a little new for me!

Kristen and Matt are like the dream couple.

They’re funny, creative, have lots of good ideas and they love each other. It’s about as good as you can get! After starting the session with homemade fruit salsa (yes, this is THE clients I keep talking about on facebook) and some wine – we kicked off the evening chasing storms in Baldwin Park.

Then, in my search for the perfect film processed look for my bridal session today, I stumbled upon this grain edit that I just fell in love with and I thought would be perfect for their session, too! I really appreciate clients that let me play and change things up a bit – gives me a nice little creative break, for sure!

One of the things I’m holding on to are the pictures of Kristen’s amazing engagement ring – but I’m going to share this incredible story! After Kristen picked up Matt in a restaurant (by passing him a business card with her number on it), Matt realized how much he found his perfect match!

When he proposed, he chose a family heirloom diamond that was his great great grandmother’s from 1827 and proposed on Kristen’s grandmother’s birthday to share their mutual love for bringing their families together. You better believe I will have some of the most stunning ring shots from their January wedding… I’m a little overly excited about that!

So I really hope you enjoy Kristen and Matt’s engagement session as much as I enjoyed shooting it with them!

I almost couldn’t stand how lucky we got with this sky. After dodging storms all evening, this amazing color rolled in for a few shots!
So I thought I’d finish off the blog post with my original editing style :)
