Final Intern Blog
This is such a sad goodbye. I will miss the awkward conversations, shenanigans, and sharing my love of pizza with our KWP family.
I had quite a few firsts as a KWP intern.
First time assisting a newborn session and holding a baby in a dream catcher.
First time attending a wedding assisting a vendor.
First time throwing confetti in the air to see the amazing shot that followed!!
First time ever writing a blog post that got such great feedback, but come on, who doesn’t love Will Ferrell?
First time creating a style board. (I had a lot of help! LOL)
A newfound love for the softest baby kitten EVER! … Seriously
Our little trio was pretty great too! I will definitely miss Erin’s sarcasm and Emily’s jokes.
I found Kristen Weaver Photography on Facebook as a high school senior in 2012 and I absolutely fell in love. I had never seen such beautiful photography before in my life. Kristen’s work still amazes me to this day! I found out about the internship program last summer and thought, “why not apply”?
I thought at the very least getting to meet Kristen would be such an honor in itself and when I got the email that I had been offered the position I freaked out! I had no prior knowledge of photography as well as the wedding industry but I was ready for the challenge.
Working as a KWP intern has taught me so much about how to run a business, how to treat your customers and how to make long lasting relationships with people.
I had the pleasure of working with many KWP vendors and interviewed: Jillian Caro, Lee Forrest and The Collection Bridal.
Once my styled shoot came to a close I couldn’t help but grab one last photo with my incredible models, Kayte and Jered.
For all future KWP Interns out there!
Be ready to work hard, but trust me when I say the reward is getting to learn from so many talented professionals and there will be plenty of laughs along the way!:)
