Jamaica Wedding
June 19, 2013ย |ย Ty and Mike
About 6 weeks before Ty and Mike’s Jamaica wedding, I got an email from Jody (their wedding planner) asking if I was available. I was super bummed to hear that their hired photographer had cancelled on them, but was so glad I was available and could spend the weekend with them in gorgeous Ocho Rios! So Anthony and I packed up and hopped a flight to Jamaica to share their wedding with this amazing group of friends and family, all supporting Ty and Mike!
My Instagram feed was filled with sparkling blue waters and amazing food, and even though this was my third time photographing a wedding at a Sandals in Jamaica, the resort was unbelievably large (so much bigger than Montego Bay and Whitehouse)! My only disappointment was that we didn’t spend extra time there exploring! Ocho Rios is an amazing town and if exploring, zip-lining and rainforests are your thing, then THIS is the place to be!
So just a huge thank you to Ty, Mike and their friends and family, and of course to Jody, for allowing us to tag along and share your wedding with you!!ย Whenever we (finally) go visit Anthony’s family in Michigan, we’ll have to hop over Detroit to say hello!!!
(Also, thank you for teaching Anthony to say things like “Thug Life”)
Venue: Sandals Grande Riviera, Ocho Rios Jamaica

But before their amazing session on the beaches of Ocho Rios, let’s see how the day began…
The bridesmaids carried pink fans instead of flowers. Gorgeous and functional in the June Jamaican heat!
Sort of so in love with Mike’s dance with his mother. I love when men cry!
So after a “Wobble” or two, Ty, Mike and I hit the sand for a stunning sunset trash the dress session!
This light was just stunning at the surf’s edge
